Privacy on callfrombrowser.org
Short version: I collect no personal data here. Below: what the pages load, what the host processes to serve them, and what happens when you follow a link off the site.
What I collect
Nothing that identifies you. The site has no accounts, no comment box, no newsletter and no contact form, so there is nowhere to type personal data, and I keep no list of readers.
Since I hold no personal data about you, I have nothing to export, correct or delete on request.
Cookies, analytics, ads and scripts
- No cookies. The pages set none, which is why there is no cookie banner.
- No analytics and no ads. There is no tracking pixel, no ad network and no social media widget.
- No third-party scripts. The pages run no JavaScript at all: the site's Content-Security-Policy header tells your browser to block every script.
- Self-hosted fonts. The typefaces are served from this domain, so no font service sees your visit.
One caveat: Cloudflare's own security features can set cookies. One of them, __cf_bm, is placed only on sites protected by its Bot Management or Bot Fight Mode and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity[1]. If one ever appears, it comes from Cloudflare's network, not from these pages.
Hosting on Cloudflare Pages
The site is static files on Cloudflare Pages, with no server code of its own. To deliver a page, Cloudflare has to handle your request. Its privacy policy, in force since , says the data it processes when people visit its customers' sites may include IP addresses, traffic routing data and other information about that traffic[2].
Cloudflare also uses traffic data to identify and block malicious activity on its network[2]. For content passing through its network it acts as a data processor on the site owner's behalf[2].
If you ask Cloudflare to act on that data, its policy says it will refer you to the site you visited[2]. I have not set up a contact address yet; when I do, it will appear on my about page.
Links to other sites
Links to calling services, official sources such as help centres and regulators, and TwinPhone lead to sites with their own privacy policies, and those sites may set cookies or run analytics. This page does not cover them, so read theirs before you sign up anywhere; I compare what the calling services collect in my service-by-service privacy notes.
Service and source links are plain links. Links to TwinPhone, the site's sponsor, carry four tracking parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and utm_content). They tell TwinPhone that the visit came from this site and from which spot on the page; they contain nothing about you.
The site sets the referrer policy strict-origin-when-cross-origin, so when you follow a link to another HTTPS site your browser sends only the domain, not the page you were reading, and to a plain HTTP site it sends nothing[3].
The Ask AI links
Near the end of most pages, an Ask AI box links to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini. Each link opens the assistant in a new tab with a ready-made question that contains the address of the page you are on. Nothing is sent before you click; once you do, the assistant receives the question and handles it under its own privacy policy, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If anything here changes, such as a new host or a feature that stores data, I will rewrite this page and its date. This version is dated .
